Agnetha Faltskog

Though she's earned a name for herself as a solo performer and performer in Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will always be remembered as an ABBA member, one of the most popular and commercially profitable pop groups ever. After leaving school at the age of 15 to take on a music career, she soon found herself singing in Bernt's band and gained a cult following. With Enghardt's help, she was able to secure the record label and topped the charts in Sweden when she released her debut single. Bjornulvaeus later married, became her partner and she was a part of ABBA. ABBA went on to be one of the biggest pop bands in the world over the course of eight years. They won numerous awards that included gold and platinum around the world. After ABBA, she released three albums: 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' as well as 'Eyes Of A Woman I Stand Alone'. All having enjoyed great acclaim in Sweden and gained acclaim throughout Europe also, yet did not make a huge impact on the U.S. In the late '80s, as her career wound to a close and she entered into an informal retirement. ABBA music was the inspiration for a jukebox-musical called Mamma Mia!. Within the U.K., 'My Coloring Book" reached number eleven. The latest album "A," has been well-received.
